Tunisian Ahmed Hafnaoui won the 1500m freestyle final on Sunday at the Fukuoka Worlds, his second title in Japan.

Hafnaoui, 20, already crowned in the 800m and silver medalist in the 400, beat American Bobby Finke (2nd) and Australian Samuel Short (3rd) thanks to his time of 14 min 31 sec and 54/ 100th.

A time that came close to the world record held by the Chinese Sun Yang since the London Olympics in 2012 (14 min 31 sec 02).
