The alleged mastermind of the attacks in Sri Lanka, Islamist leader Zahran Hashim, according to the government, in one of the attacks killed. Sri Lanka’s head of state, Maithripala Sirisena said on Friday that the secret services had informed him that Hashim had died in the attacks at a Hotel in Colombo. He was apparently in the centre of a Confessor video of the jihadists militia Islamic state (IS). Before the attacks in Sri Lanka Hashim was largely unknown. In Online media, he had thousands of followers, he published hateful sermons on YouTube and Facebook. Local media, according to Hashim founded the NTJ in the year 2014.
In the case of the suicide attacks on Easter Sunday in several churches and Hotels, were killed according to the authorities of 253 people, and 485 more have been injured.
