Sydney – four Thousand people, including vacationers and residents, have been forced to seek refuge on the beaches in the south-east of Australia, in particular in the coastal town of Mallacoota, in order to escape the violent fires that weeks are ravaging the whole area. Some fled into the open sea on board of their boats, trying to escape from one of the worst days ever recorded by the beginning of the fires started in September. Dozens of properties have been destroyed and at least seven people are scattered in the states of New South Wales and Victoria, in the south-east of Australia. In some areas, the fires are so intense and the smoke so dense that the intervention of the planes was even discontinued.

At Mallacoota, dovce from days missed the electric current, the authorities explained that these fires were the ??result of strong storms and lightning. Yesterday a hundred thousand people have had to flee from five suburbs of Melbourne just because of the advance of the fire. A volunteer firefighter is dead and two others were invested by the flames while they worked in New South Wales.
