If it recognizes that there are “black sheep”, Sibeth Ndiaye was hammered out Friday morning on Sud Radio : “Our country is not a racist country, and I am happy living as a black woman”. The government spokesperson was reacting to the various events that were held in France in recent days, and which echo those held in the United States after the death of a man of african-american choked by a police officer. For Sibeth Ndiaye, it is “irrelevant to the comparison” and must now “seek appeasement”. In France, protesters are including the link with the case of Adama Traoré, the young black man of 24 years died after his arrest by gendarmes in Beaumont-sur-Oise (Val-d’oise) in 2016.

“I can not let say that”

Sibeth Ndiaye took the defence of the police, often attacked by the protesters. “I do not believe that the French police are racist in an organized manner. There may be individuals who are racist, it is there, (as) in all the social body of the Republic,” she said. The government spokesman had already been, “in some forms”, herself a victim of racism. “In high school, I was asked if I had the power or if I lived in a box”, she told. “When you’re black or from an ethnic minority, you have more difficulty finding employment, difficulty finding housing, and, if applicable, you have a report to the police, which is perhaps a little modified, in particular, in some quarters”, she explained.

“But I don’t want to leave, there would be a racism of the State organized because this is not true. I am a black woman, I am a black woman who made the policy. I have been a student in France and I can’t let say that,” continued Sibeth Ndiaye.

The spokesman of the government is, however, a “certain discomfort for at least a certain part of the French” that the government “must hear”, and “be able to provide an answer”. However, she does not tolerate demonstrations while France is still diving in the health crisis. “If they have banned gatherings of more than 5,000 people in the whole of France and more than ten people on the public way, is that there’s a reason,” she recalled. “We need these people who want to protest find another way to express this need-there,” she asked, then new protests are planned for Saturday in several cities of France, including the Champ-de-Mars, in Paris.

Then she, like the C*… of Morano before she or Cerighelli, as soon as she opens her mouth, we already know that she is going to say anything… And this release is no exception to the rule.
