Finally something starts to move. If, on the one side of the Atlantic, the big family of toxic substances known as Pfas may finally suffer limitations, yet, from the other side of the ocean is advancing new proposals to lower the limit of four substances perfluoroalchiliche, the more persistent in the environment. In the United States, in fact, the Epa, the environmental protection Agency the us has just stated that it will establish for the first time the limits for the maximum concentrations tolerable in drinking water of two chemicals, Pfoa and Pfos, belong precisely to the category of Pfas. The so-called “regulatory decision preliminary to the” just announced represents, therefore, the last step before the Epa to propose the so-called maximum level contaminants (Mcl), i.e. the limits unsurpassable in the release of these two toxic substances in the soil and in the aquifers. A decision, however, may still arrive between a few months.
