The Automobile Club of Naples has sent to the parliamentarians from campania an open letter with a proposal of law aimed to overcome the critical issues related to the use of vehicles with foreign number plates in Italy.

The proposal of the Automobile Club Naples, prepared by the Committee on legal affairs of the Institution, is articulated succinctly in three points: 1) limit to one year the waiver to circulate in Italy with foreign vehicles leasing or rental conducted by residents in our Country; 2) improve the system of controls through the implementation of the system of investigation (SDI) provided by the law 121/1981; 3) to introduce a requirement for overseas residents, to communicate, via pec or registered post, at the Dmv the day of their entrance drive in the Italian territory.
