This season, French football is facing an increase in violence, like the Lyon bus stoned a few weeks ago on the way to the Vélodrome. Windows had shattered, former OL coach Fabio Grosso having been injured by the shards.

Rachid Zeroual, leader of the South Winners supporters group in Marseille, commented on this event for RMC Sport: “There is an increase in violence but I would not have believed it would happen in this way. I’m going to talk about extremism, they’re crazy. They took over our stands. “It’s an unacceptable blunder, and it’s regrettable.”

Faced with this increase in violence in and around the stadiums, the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéra-Castéra notably put forward the idea of banning the movement of supporters: a proposal which made the boss of the South Winners jump: “It’s It is serious to prohibit people from making a living from their passion. We’re trying to put us in perpetuity! » Exclaimed Zeroual in particular. “Why do we want to spoil the freedom of movement of all groups of supporters who love their club and who live their passion through their club. Why each time we have to generalize isolated cases!”

Banning the travel of supporters would, according to him, be counterproductive: “They bring even more hatred to the kids. Because, we ask them to listen to us in order to be able to work well with the prefectures […] How do you want us not to be seen as idiots and that this does not create independent workers?

Present, like many members of the South Winners, at the Vélodrome on Wednesday evening, Rachid Zeroual was able to witness his team’s success against Olympique Lyonnais (3-0).
