TRIPOLI – a document IS long, complex, important. The result of the work that Germany and the United Nations with the support of Italy, have done since after the meeting of August 15, 2019 between the German chancellor Angela Merkel and the Un envoy in Libya Ghassan Salamè . The summit in Berlin will begin at 13 on Sunday: until then – as always happens in these summits, there will be negotiations on every single article, every single word of the text.

The job is ready. The “Conference conclusions” of the summit of Berlin are divided into 55 points grouped in 6 main chapters. The chapters are “the truce”, “arms embargo”, the “return to the political process”, “economic reforms and financial”, “respect for human rights”. Finally, the “follow-up”, as a follow-up to the commitments that will be taken by leaders and ministers convened in Berlin.
