On Monday afternoon, broke out in a multi-family house on the upper street in Biel a fire. As the emergency and rescue forces arrived, they found a strong smoke development and flame, the beat out of the building.
Immediately the fire Department of Biel began extinguishing the fire. She was able to bring the fire quickly under control, and finally delete it.
In the course of the Work, the rescue workers were found in an apartment on a lifeless Person. It is a 55-year-old man from the Canton of Bern. A resident of the house was injured in the fire easily and had to be brought to the hospital. Two other persons were also controlled on site by an ambulance team.
The multi-family house is not currently habitable. For the affected residents a temporary living solution has been found. During use the upper lane had to be closed. A fire guard was placed.
To clarify the exact cause of death of the deceased man was brought to the Institute for legal medicine of the University of Bern. The Canton of Bern’s police have launched investigations to clarify the circumstances and the cause of the fire. (raw/pkb)
