The Type 64 was built in the years ‘30. The model was based on the first Beetle, which was ordered from Porsche by the nazi regime. There were three Type 64’s built in that time and the model that is now being sold had to initially participate in the race from Berlin to Rome in september 1939. To this end, the engine was boosted up to a whopping 32 horsepower.
