A Frenchman who has spent as the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks of January 2015, has been sentenced to two years in prison. A court in Paris found the 44-Year-old on Tuesday evening for the guilty. A year of the prison sentence was suspended. The man had tried to money from a state Fund for Victims to fraudulently obtain.
the Islamists had killed in November 2015, in Bars, Restaurants and in the music club Bataclan in Paris a total of 130 people. The now convicted man had claimed to have the attack on a Cambodian Restaurant survived, in which three people died. Investigators found that he had looked in truth at the time of the home football.
With 108’000 Euro compensation
The defendant justified his Action by the fact that he had suffered in the attacks on a Paris metro in 1995, a Trauma. Algerian terrorists killed eight people. His Trauma was not recognised by the state, said the man. He did not receive sufficient psychological care. The 44-Year-old was compensated with 108’000 Euro.
More than a dozen people have now been convicted of attempted fraud in connection with victim compensation after the Paris attacks. (step/AFP)
