Bizarre In the Northern Irish town of Dungiven have thieves in a stolen grijpkraan used to a cash machine to steal. On bewakingsbeelden is to see how the thief with a crane in the parking lot of a store from the highway. He goes, without thinking, to the point and rips the atm out of the wall.
The thieves were clearly well prepared. The theft took less than four minutes. Afterwards, loading their loot into a van without a roof. It used the thieves again the stolen crane. After their spectacular theft showed the men the crane on the back of the car park of the shop and they drove it with the van off. The crane was probably stolen in a yard nearby.
The police of Northern Ireland has in the meantime a call was distributed to the witnesses of the theft. “With all the thefts with atms, we see that this is not just unlikely a lot of damage caused, we also see that the fear it creates in the population,” said inspector Richard Thornton.
Previous week were already two atms stolen. The thefts were always place on the Irish border. According to the police, there may be several gangs involved in the thefts.
