Yes, it is a wonderful sculpture? Not so rarely is it dressed. I took a picture at one point, someone had put a red sock on the child, who is about to take their first steps.
the Sculpture, which was erected already in 1932, is made by Karl Hultström (1884-1973), and is called, fittingly enough ”The first steps”.
I noted, like you, that the sculpture has been a ”moat” and contacted Stefan Hagdahl, who is the director of the Stockholm art, to hear where the first steps may be on the way.
” the Park will be renovated and in order not to harm the sculpture, we have chosen to remove it temporarily. We will replace it in the same place after the renovation, ” says Stefan.

well It was nice to hear? However, I agree with you about ”a place that it deserves”. I think that the sculpture is doing well on that particular site. Especially if you turn down a moment in ”Carlos bench” a bit from there.
Karl Hultström is represented on several places in Stockholm. Hultström is the artist behind both the ”Woman” at the Alvik outdoor Terrace and the fine minnesplattan on Carl Larsson was born in Gamla stan, Prästgatan 78.

Hojgränd are in reality, not only on the maps you are referring to. I called Kristian Rosengren, my ”namnklippa” at the city planning office, and he told me that the name has been around since 2013.
“It came in the context of making a new development plan for the area,” says Kristian, and explains that it refers to the right here was a gathering place for motorcykelburna young people.
