The well-known musician and dj Morten Lindberg, better known as Master Fatman is dead.

He was only 53 years old.

It confirms the executive director at Radio24syv Jørgen Ramskov to Ekstra Bladet.

– I can on behalf of the family confirm that Morten is dead. The family has no further comments, says Jørgen Ramskov, who informs, that he does not know the cause of death.

the Master Fatman was the host at Radio24syv-‘Croque Monsieur’, and he will be a great loss.

– It is completely terrible. Morten was a great person, host and musician. And, first and foremost, he was joy itself. All was completely wild with Morten, and we are completely in shock, says a shaken Jørgen Ramskov.

Morten Lindberg grew up in Dalum near Odense, and in 1986, nationally known as Master Fatman.

He has for decades been a familiar face here at home, among other things as a host at the DR, and he participated in 2006 in the ‘dancing with the stars’, where he danced along with Mie Moltke.

He is survived by his wife, Herminia, whom he met in 2009 at the Roskilde Festival. The year after the couple married. They have four children together, the Sun and Vinicius and the one and a half year old twins Heaven and the River.

the Master Fatman has a son, Wilhelm, on 19 from a previous relationship.
