Pope Francis has rejected the resignation of the Archbishop of Lyon, who was convicted in France because of the cover-up of abuse. Cardinal Philippe Barbarin have, however, decided for a time to withdraw, and appointed the vicar-General with the leadership of the diocese, said the Vatican spokesman Alessandro Gisotti. The Pope did not want to accept because of the presumption of innocence the resignation, it said in a statement from the barbarian.
