New figures from the Knight Frank Luxury Investment Index shows that recognized rare whisky is a very good investment. In 10 years, it has risen by 582 % and the last year alone by 40%. It is 100 bottles of the most sought after scottish whiskies that have been analyzed in relation to prices and auktionsbud. It makes the whiskey to the best investment ahead of everything else such as stocks, gold and cars as examples. Rare cars are the second best investment in front of rare coins, stamps, art and then wines.

The most eye-catching whisky was a special made bottle of Macallan 1926, as last year was sold for 9 million. kr.

It is especially the asian market which has got the eyes up for the whisky as an investment. The sale of Scotch whisky is bl.a. increased by 44% for India, 35% for China and 24% to Singapore this past year according to figures from the Scotch Whisky Association.
