Several european cities have already introduced gender-neutral traffic lights, which intends to respect the other gender identities than just men and women, and now the ride can be come to the Danish capital.

– It is a really good way to do away with the gender stereotypes we see everywhere, and it is an idea I’m interested in going further, she says to Kristeligt Dagblad.

And she is not alone. Christopher Røhl Andersen, which sits in the Copenhagen city council for the Radical Left, believes that the so-called lgbt-traffic lights may be to make sure that ‘everyone can feel respected and be role models in the public sphere’.

Lgbt stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and is thus a term used to embrace all people.
