In the DN Opinion on February 23, writes the outgoing doctor Åke Andrén-Sandberg, in a letter to the editor that money is more important than the patient for Capio.

No employees of the Capio is terminated because of criticism and feedback on how we conduct our business. This also applies to the departing doctor, who works as a konsultläkare at a medical center. The decision to end his mission was far ahead of the meeting, Åke Andrén-Sandberg refers to and without reference to the criticisms made.

We do not recognize ourselves in the picture painted and strongly distances itself from that money would be more important than the patient for Capio. Our mission in primary care emanating from our elected politicians priorities and the compensation for this mission.

as one of several policy instruments for the healthcare industry. Based on this mission, Capio has, all health care providers, have a responsibility to perform high quality care with good accessibility and a balanced economy.

this includes making priorities, to consider what we do and what we do. Our guiding principle is and always has been to give our patients good care.

for many years, primärvårdsuppdraget become heavier and the remuneration has not increased to the same rate. In the near future we see that our patients are getting older, the proportion with one or more chronic diagnoses is increasing, and the proportion of the population who work and pay taxes decreases.

where the more to do more with limited resources. At the same time, primary care providers for many years been under-funded, although we are seeing some signs of it are added to new funds.

We are working hard to push primary care with a balanced economy that allows us to invest, develop and strive towards our goals – a good and accessible health care for all. We are transparent with what we do and share with us of new ways of working and tools that we think can help to give our patients a better availability with higher quality.

We spend large sums to develop digital health care, but also on education and spreading knowledge in the organisation when we know that our employees are our most important resource. This also includes that we must prioritize what we do based on the mandate we have from the county councils and regions and the compensation payable for this. If we do things that are not included in our mission, and thus is not replaced, it leads to that we no longer have the same opportunities to provide the right care to those who need and must have it.

comes from good processes, high availability to our patients and a good knowledge of both the patients and the tasks that we have set to accomplish. It requires a high knowledge of results, both medical as quality and economic results.

We know that high quality care leads to efficiency and economy in balance. We measure both quality and financial outcomes in order to continuously improve our performance, to the benefit of the patient, the employee and ultimately the Swedish primary health care.

I am very proud to work at Capio. We do not do everything right, but we are doing everything we can to constantly be better and achieve our goals.

come to know, consisting of highly skilled and driven people, who are all passionate about the same thing: to provide the best possible quality of life for every patient. We stand for a culture of innovation and innovative thinking in an industry characterised by large needs.

By encouraging discussion and innovation, we are developing ways of working and invest in our employees in order to be able to offer good jobs in a hard-pressed primary care. The involvement of employees is a prerequisite for development and change.

A balanced economy, allowing for investments and new ventures. So, we are working on Capio proximity care to provide our patients with the care they are entitled to.
