A passer-by stumbled this morning on a horrific scene in a canal in the Dutch Lexmond. In the water floated several dead swans. “In two days time, there are in the region of nine swans were killed,” confirms Gerrit the Tree of the animal Vianen.

That was also the case. There were Sunday morning is not three, but six of the dead birds in the canal at Lexmond drive. Saturday had the animal for three who swans out of the water fished in Oud-Alblas. The numerator is therefore at nine swans in two days time. “The situation is very nasty to take shape,” says The Tree, who is co-director of the animal.

“I have a suspicion that the vile poachers. The flesh of the swan is well suited for consumption of meat, particularly the breast. In the animals this morning found the breasts from the body removed,” says The Tree.
