The Federal Council flies with a Jet from a Swiss production. As it says in a media release from Pilate, was passed in the year 2014 ordered the PC-24 on Monday, officially to the Federal Council. The Pilatus Super Versatile Jet replaces an outdated business jet from a US manufacturer.

At the symbolic handing over of the key Federal President Ueli Maurer took part. Oscar J. Schwenk, Chairman of Pilatus says: “I am delighted that the Federal Council has chosen a Swiss product and in the future with the PC-24 – the new “Swiss Air Force One” – will travel.”

The new Jet is white and grey. On the tail and on the wings of a Switzerland is emblazoned the cross. The inscription “Swiss Air Force”. The cabin offers space for eight people. Plus, the crew and the Luggage. Flown the PC-24 pilots of the Swiss air force.

The aircraft is expected to be used primarily for travel in Europe. The Jet reached a speed of 815 kilometers per hour and has a range of 3704 kilometres.
