to begin with, could it have been about any Italian author – I tried to ignore the Swedish line view and just listen to one of the Italian voice and dialect after the other, this heavenly beautiful language! Can any novel, or poetry, högläst in Italian to be anything other than brilliant?

Giacomo Durzis film grottar, however, never settled down in the little dirtier speculation, he just sounds one after the other – authors, publishers, film makers – describe their first meetings with the Ferrantes language, style and books, and it turns into a gentle and very fine film, which in the best cases, enough to increase our understanding of the text and reducing our dependence on celebrity.
