Lochristi On the ramp of the E17 direction Ghent this morning around 11 am in Beervelde a truck, loaded with potatoes, tilted. The side of the driveway was equally disappeared under the potatoes. The driver was fortunately unscathed from. “Luck that I have my belt on him,” said driver Sander Tytgat.
“When I got to the driveway opdraaide, I felt the weight in my truck to shift,” says Sander. “At first I thought that only the trailer was tilting, but to my cabin and went with him. That was quite a scare, yes. Luckily I had my seatbelt on, otherwise it could get a lot worse afgeslopen.” The truck fell on the emergency lane, making the sweet potatoes scattered on the road. It will take a while before everything is cleaned up. Sander, his colleagues and the fire brigade started to advance to the clean-up and the police came on the spot to control traffic.
