“Metals from the dead gives million”

“All brandtåligt material that remains after the completion of the cremation must be recycled by the Swedish church, according to a change in the law from 2016. Today, three years later, it is estimated that 60 tonnes of the metal and titanium collected and recycled since the act came into force, reports Swedish radio P4 Östergötland.”

“According to the agreement between the Swedish church and the company responsible for the recovery, occupying a medieval environment AB, 80 per cent of the proceeds from the recycling go to the General inheritance fund. After 15 months had 67.7 million crowns have been transferred and merged with the 2018 year estimated profits have generally received upwards of 100 million.”

“A large part of the metals come from prostheses and implants.”

“– We notice it clearly. About half of the material we deal with is from the implants, ” says Åge Matre, ceo of occupying a medieval environment AB to the P4 Östergötland.”
