In the dispute over the Nord Stream Baltic sea pipeline 2 have been found in Germany and France, apparently, a compromise. Paris will not stand up to Berlin when it comes to strengthen EU-rules for Pipelines.

Germany and France have settled their dispute over the Nord Stream gas pipeline 2, apparently. Berlin and Paris presented to the other EU member States a new proposal for the Revision of the European Gas Directive, which the news Agency AFP. Accordingly, the responsibility for Pipelines with third countries such as Russia in the EU country where the Board meets for the first time on the European network would be – in the case of Nord Stream 2, therefore, in the case of Germany and not the EU.
