Small thumb of a Champions League which will start with the group stage on September 19 and 20, Lens expected heavy for the first phase because of its status. The Northerners have been served since they will face three major European clubs, the English from Arsenal, the Spaniards from Seville and the Dutch from PSG Eindhoven.
Franck Haise’s men will not have an easy task getting out of a group where Arsenal are the big favorites. Behind, it is more open with a Spanish team struggling in the league last year but qualified for the C1 thanks to its victory in the Europa League. PSV Eindhoven invited themselves by emerging victorious in the play-offs against Glasgow Rangers.
The first two of each group are qualified for the round of 16 and the third is donated to the Europa League.
