Cross Denmark is in full preparation for the organisation of the world CHAMPIONSHIPS cyclo-cross on 2 and 3 February in Bogendse. The Danes don’t want to leave to chance and hope to the tens of thousands of supporters in the real veldritsfeer to be able to dunking.
Fortunately, there are Marc van den Broek (53) from Hoogstraten, and Kurt Lemmens (47) from Turnhout (originally from Malle). The two are all of their teenage years behind the turntable. Weddings, birthdays or any other party: you ask, they run. Almost every weekend, provide them somewhere to the ambience.
a Few weeks ago they were suddenly approached by Peter Ginnerskorv, the event manager of Cross Denmark. If they are on 2 and 3 February not a moment to Bogendse – about 900 kilometres – want to come to each one of the two marquees for the atmosphere to come during the world cup cyclo-Cross on 2 and 3 February.
“We have not a second’s doubt”, laugh the two. “They were already come to see in Koksijde and Valkenburg as they are for the world cup in Bogendse really nothing to chance want to leave.
