the Government gave My Hedström, who is the bureau chief at the Prosecutor’s office, asked to investigate whether stores should be able to porta customers who steal or seriously harasses the employees to be prohibited access. Now the investigation is finished and has been submitted to the government.
the Investigator suggests that only a prosecutor to issue a refusal of access order to be able to apply for more than one year. The one who defies the prohibition, is guilty of a crime and should be punished.
not, however, the stores should be able to porta customers on their own.
” It is serious that the sales associates feel harassed in their workplace. But I don’t think a ban is the best way to counter it. It takes quite a lot to criminalize something, and I have come to the conclusion that it is not sufficiently justified, ” says Hedström to Handelsnytt.
the Proposal will now out on referral before it is voted on in parliament. The law is proposed to enter into force on 1 January 2021.
