new changes in the criminal code will parents who have exposed their children to genital mutilation, or which has not prevented this type of abuse, be punished. Genital mutilation is violence against children. There, I hope we can all agree, regardless of party. I am very happy that the attorney general is now taking this matter seriously and alerts changes in the criminal code.

the attorney general will now send the proposal for the expansion of, and changes in, avvergingsplikten at the hearing. The obligation to avert genital mutilation proposed to be imposed on all. Parents are now liable for ensuring that the children not be subjected to genital mutilation. A common excuse is that overgrepet was performed in the home country while the parents were not present. This does not hold. If there is a real danger that your children are kjønnslemlestet in your home country then you have a duty to avert this.

Code sets a duty to fend off specific offences. The obligation applies to any and without regard to the duty of confidentiality. Serious environmental crime, gross human trafficking, forced marriage and ekteskapsinngåelse with children under 16 years covered by the proposal. This is the serious offence that it should be considered whether every man shall have the duty to fend off.

The last ten years, it has been reviewed more than 50 cases of illegal circumcision of women and girls in Norway. Yet so far none have been punished for it. Frp shall down hard on the genital mutilation and forced marriage and Frp will continue the combating of the negative social control with changes in the criminal code. Social control is unwanted in Norway and, therefore, we’re now taking further action.
