The 36-year-old Czech republic announces that he quit after the season after a long career where he made four Premier League titles with Chelsea.
”this is my 20th season as a professional player and it is 20 years ago that I wrote my first professional contract, so it feels like the right time to announce that I am the end of the season,” writes Cech on Twitter.
in Chmel Bisany and Sparta Prague, he left the Czech republic for the French Rennes in 2002 and was subsequently to Chelsea in 2004. In 2015, he moved to London to Arsenal.
”I’ve played 15 years in the Premier League and have won all possible trophies, I’ve achieved everything there is to achieve,” writes Cech.
He has also played 124 appearances for the Czech republic.
