Oudenaarde In the Klaproosstraat, a social housing estate along the Heurnestraat in Oudenaarde, is a Sunday-night car completely burned out. The car was parked under the carport next to a house.
“We tried self-extinguish, but that took nothing at all”, told a neighbor that the flames were noticed and the fire brigade called. Upon arrival of the building were the car and the carport in flames. Because of a strong wind, the flames fiercely stirred, were fire and police residents of adjacent houses to their leave home.
The fire brigade was able to prevent the flames stopped at the house. The facade is heavily damaged. The cause of the fire is still uncertain. Evil intent is not excluded.
