The reigning French champions must do without the superstar Nikola Karabatic for the upcoming WORLD championships in Denmark and Germany.
on Tuesday, the French national coach, Didier Dinart, selected a WORLD cup squad of 17 players without the 34-year-old Karabatic.
He is not yet ready for an operation in the foot.
The long-standing profile can maybe get a role later in the tournament, as Karabatic for the sake of security is written into France’s bruttotrup at 28 players. During the WORLD cup must Dinart make three replacements in his squad.
– If it turns out that he can play, then it would be a shame not to write him on the list with 28 names, says Didier Dinart to The French Håndboldforbunds website.
– It will of course require that sportsdirektøren in his club gives the green light, and that Nikola is determined to help the French team, says the national coach.

France is placed in group A along with Russia, Germany, Serbia, Brazil and Korea. The group settled in Berlin.
