FC Bayern München required a world champion Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuttgart. Like Munich’s sport Director Hasan Salihamidzic announced on Wednesday in the training camp in Doha, the 22-year-old Frenchman signed a summer contract over five years. “This is a young player who is world champion. We are very pleased and proud,“ said Salihamidzic on the defender. Pavard can leave Stuttgart thanks to an exit clause for a transfer fee in the amount of 35 million euros.
Pavard came in 2016 from Lille to VfB. He competed in this season so far 14 Bundesliga games for the Swabians. (dpa)
