700.000 passengers in 1959, with 5 million in 1979, 21 million in 2000, and today an absolute record of 25 million passengers per year. Brussels Airport can look back on an absolute bumper year. And so were the passengers on Friday with celebrate. In the departures hall was the red carpet rolled out and all the passengers were on their way to the aircraft in Belgian chocolate and were able to enjoy live music.
“More than 25 million passengers in one year’s time means that an average of almost 70,000 passengers a day from Brussels Airport travel, with peaks of up to 95.000 passengers during the holiday periods”, brought in Arnaud Feist, CEO of the airport, know. “Every day we work to make each passenger at our airport, feel at home and enjoy the quality of services that he or she expects. 20.000 volunteered to have their energy and enthusiasm in order to ensure that our passengers in the best possible circumstances travel, at their arrival at the terminal to when they are in the plane.”
