You know perhaps; you have fallen over a smart shirt inside the city, which hit the trend spot on. But at home you discover that it is a slim fit, which tightens more, than what good is. And it turns out at the same time, that you must go out and buy expensive accessories in order to make the chic look complete.

this has been the case with the first generation of the small Audi A1. It has always been both stylish and cash, sporty, but also animals and with minimal interior space.

Here is now geared up on several fronts in the brand-new generation of the A1, as both are grown between the axles and has scored more height indoor – while even in the basic models with more X Factor.

The new Audi A1 has also continued its predecessor’s sharp grip, but there are less go-kart and more balance in the model.

Audi’s new designer, Marc lichte-both members, has grown the brand’s history into the design, and the lines have now clear the threads of the first Ur-Quattro-models from the 1980s.

It is clear by the international presentation of the model, which takes place in Malaga, Spain. Here the test driver we the car with both a trecylindret TFSI engine of 1.0 liters, which makes 116 hp, and the larger four-cylinder TFSI engine of 1.5 liter that hits 150 hp.

The stylish alternative
A quick glance at the new A1 reveals that everything is changed on the second generation.

With its potensbulede screens, the huge grille in the front, and the three narrow Quattro-slots in the tip of the bonnet appears the car far more masculine than its more subtle predecessor.

Audi has in the past had to hear that the manufacturer’s models have resembled each other too much. It has Marc lichte-both members done nothing to the new style of design, as we have seen in the somewhat larger A6, A7 and A8 models, and now for the seriousness of the strikes through here in miniklassen.

the Audi A1 shares a platform with the new Polo, and the model has grown five inches between the axles, so that it now measures 4,03 meters in length. The first generation of the Audi A1 will be available with both five and three doors, but the latter is completely out of the program in the new model.

On the road, you will experience a car that offers unprecedented balance for a model in miniklassen. The Audi A1 is not only rock solid on the asphalt, it sucks also the holes and smooths the road out with great naturalness.

You do not have the more cash the feel of the steering and contact with the road, as its predecessor offered. But when you go to makronerne, there is no doubt that the new generation has the same bite in the way.

The range from a trecylindret engine of 1.0 liters, it provides 95 hp, to a sporting case of 200 hp. Testbilens engine with 116 hp is a cru of the smallest version, and it has the forces to make the driving experience perfect, while it handles the 20.4 km/l.

Behind the wheel you have a view of a futuristic dashboard with multiple layers of surfaces, there is virtually folded as restaurantservietter in a black glaslook. It encircles a centrally located large screen as the starting point is eight inches, but in testbilen is upgraded to a fast edge-to-edge screen on the 10 inch.

Conclusion
With the new A1, Audi has moved its smallest model from a niche and into the broader market, while at the same time become more exclusive. It is something of a feat. A1-the model promises premium the crossbar, but at the same time more masculine and not the least more practical.

From being a car that appealed to those who perhaps had a Mini in mind, the new A1 is just as much a commandment for those who have look at a well-equipped VW Polo. It’s all ultimately about what the Danish prices end up at.
