The Brussels assize court holds today a preparatory session for the trial about the attack on the Jewish Museum. That process is going to be on January 7 start with the draw of the 12 jury members and 12 substitute members of the jury. Today is the identity of the two accused, Mehdi Nemmouche and Nacer Bendrer, checked and decided the court, in consultation with the parties, which witnesses will be called. For the process apply stringent security measures.

Brussels assisenhof the first session opened. On that session, only the agenda of the subsequent sessions to be determined. Accused Mehdi Nemmouche and Nacer Bendrer are present, but refuse to be in the picture. They have, however, identified. Nemmouche is assisted by three lawyers: masters Sébastien Courtoy and Henri Laquay and Virginie Taelman. Nacer Bendrer has master Gilles Vanderbeck and the French lawyer Julien Blot as lawyers.

On the side of the civil parties is the Interfederal Gelijkekansencentrum Unia assisted by masters Christophe Marchand and Dounia Alamat, and the Association Française des Matter du Terrorism by master Guillaume Lys and a French lawyer. The family has Riva is also a civil party liable, with more masters, Marc Libert, and Pierre Legros as lawyers. Masters Michèle Hirsch and Elodie Jacques, the lawyers for the coordination Committee of Jewish Organisations in Belgium, while masters Adrien Masset and Maxime Nardone occur for the Jewish Museum.

The children of the Israeli couple killed in the attack are “scared and traumatised”. Their lawyer in Belgium, hopes, nevertheless, that they process at least in part, will attend. Before the start of the process says the lawyer of the relatives of the couple, the daughters to have confidence in the process, but that they are currently in Israel. “We hope that they will come. My partner is currently in Israel to talk to them.”
