ENGELBERG (Dagbladet): Andreas Star (30) and the Norwegian skihopperne came yesterday to Engelberg in Switzerland. After an involuntary break from the world cup hope Star to get answers to some hopptekniske questions in the weekend.

35, 42 and 50: This is the chronological placements in the world cup so far, in a season where the whole team has room for improvement. Sprova-athlete had a brilliant time after christmas last year. Now, it looks worse. And it peaked with 50. and the last place in Kuusamo 25. november. Afterwards was the Star taken out of the world cup.

Now is the 30-year-old back, but not without drama: he Gets taken out to the Hoppuka? About fiaskohoppet in the Finnish forests, he said:

I just have to flire, it doesn’t look out. It is scary that it is possible to jump so bad when you are 30 years old and have jumped so much on the ski.

the Star country of 83.5 metres. By way of comparison, had the japanese winner, Ryoyu Kobayashi, 147,5 meters as its lengstehopp. The truth is that the Star has not taken a single point in the world cup.

I feel really that the season has not started. Kuusamo was so bad that I have tried to forget about it, ” he says.

– What are you thinking when you didn’t come to the other place?

– You get frustrated and fairly stated. I quickly found out that I had home and work out.

the Norwegians are going to weekend two competitions in Engelberg with a certain uncertainty. Johann André Blame is our best at the 4. place in the overall world cup title. Robert Johansson is number 9, Anders Fannemel 17, Halvor Is Granerud 25 and Daniel-André Tande 35.

Ryoyu Kobayashi is the leader and the big star in the hoppsirkuset. Then follow the poles Piotr Zyla and Kamil Stoch.

New edition

the Star hope to appear in a completely different edition in Engelberg. Hopefully he finds back to the feel good factor from when he took the OLYMPIC gold medal in the team competition in the winter. He also was on the team that took world cup gold in the skiflyging, and he was number three in the Raw Air overall.

– What has gone wrong so far?

– Technically, I have not come to me down in position on the right way. The body has been stacked incorrectly with the wrong balance. When I manage nothing. I must try to do the same as I have done on the training – and then we’ll see how well it keeps.

He continues:

It is a new start in Engelberg. Of course, you are unsure when you have been away for two-three weeks. I’m curious how I stack up. But I’m pretty sure that if I do what I should, so I can begin to claim me again. I expect not to fight for the podium at the weekend, but top 15-20 is a good start. I can take with me in preparation for the Hoppuka.

the Star is painfully aware that Hoppuka the game is on the weekend. Norway should have six or seven jumpers, and this is the last konkurransehelga before it kicks off after christmas. The withdrawal will be made on the basis of what happens Saturday and Sunday, what happens on the training in the next week – and based on an overall rating. Also a place to Tande hangs in a thin thread. He is not to Engelberg and coach back home in Norway.

Quieter

the Star believes the mood in the team is calmer now than at the start of the season. Not least because of the victory and his second place finish to Blame in the Russian Nizhny Tagil in the beginning of December.

We were a little småstresset the first two weekends. We felt that we did not get any response. Even though I was not with the team to Russia, I noticed a little bit of a different mood afterwards. The last time we’ve had some nice days in Vikersund. There were many who jumped well on skis, ” says the Star.

Coach Alexander Stöckl is an optimist in Sprova-sveverens behalf:

The last two jumps in Vikersund was promising. He has stabilized considerably. The star looks like the Star again!

After last season, he considered to add up. Finally landed on the following conclusion:

I have a potential that I have not yet been given out.

PS: Launders in Engelberg runs, respectively, Saturday at 16.00 and Sunday at 14.15. At 18.00 in the evening is the qualification.
