Women, men and even more women. After many years of discussions about the male dominance in the nominations for the Grammy, the most prestigious music prize, takes the female artists hefty revenge. In the categories of Pop and Alternative pop are all women, in the album of the Year, four of the five women, and in the artist of the Year, three of the five women. Even this Year’s song is in three cases out of five made by women.
In the categories of rock and hard rock, reigns, however, the men still total.
Grammisgalan will be held on 7 February 2019. It is the 36th in the order. New for the 2019 edition, this Year’s folk/singer-songwriter split up into their own categories – best folk album of the Year show/singer-songwriter. Total divided therefore prices out of the twenty-two separate categories. This time organized musikgalan on the Annex building to create space for a bigger stage show and the seated gala dinner.
