This exit quickly angered Internet users on social networks, then the 27-year-old apologized at the end of the match: “On the blow of the irritation, I did not want to push anyone. I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I apologize, that was not my goal at all.”
The player risked being suspended for up to five matches under Article 6 of the French Football Federation (FFF) disciplinary regulations, which punishes any rude or offensive behavior or even ten matches under Article 9, which punishes any discriminatory behavior.
