Angeles Bejar had locked herself in a church in her hometown of Motril, southern Spain, to protest the treatment of her son in the World Cup player’s kiss on the lips affair Jenni Hermoso, which led to her suspension by FIFA on Saturday.
She was taken to Santa Ana Hospital in Motril on Wednesday evening, the priest, who identified himself as Father Antonio, told reporters, without giving further details. Santa Ana Hospital would not confirm whether Bejar had been admitted there.
