Clara Copponi and Victoire Bertheau brought France a fifth medal at the Track Cycling World Championships by taking bronze at the American on Monday night in Glasgow. The two French women won the last bonus sprint of the race to snatch third place behind Great Britain and Australia. Les Bleues had won silver in the last three editions in this Olympic discipline.

This new medal is in addition to the silver medals of Benjamin Thomas in the omnium and Valentine Fortin in the elimination race, as well as those of bronze in the men’s team sprint and the women’s team pursuit. At the Worlds-2022, France had won seven medals, including three gold.
