Spanish left-back Jordi Alba will join his former FC Barcelona partners Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, the MLS club owner announced on Tuesday.

“Jordi Alba will sign today,” said Jorge Mas after training for the Florida team. The 34-year-old former Spanish international (93 caps) had been without a club since the end of his contract with Barça at the end of the past season.

Inter Miami are not planning to stop there: Mas has claimed that other players will join the club currently last in the North American championship.

Crowned six times in the Spanish championship with the Blaugranas, Alba also participated in the conquest of the Champions League title in 2015. With La Roja, the defender won the Euro in 2012.

Messi and Busquets took part in their first training session in Miami on Tuesday, and could make their debuts for the club on Friday against Mexico City-based Cruz Azul in the League Cup, a competition between clubs in the North American and Mexican leagues.
