Opponents for almost 15 years in Spain, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi never leave each other. Both players come out of two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, where they did not extend their contract. And now the Spanish defender (37) left to follow the Argentine striker (36) to Inter Miami. This is what the Catalan newspaper Sport is talking about this Sunday.

Ramos would be “one step” from the Florida club, for which Messi announced his departure a month ago. The former captain of Real Madrid would have preferred to extend the adventure to PSG, but the club wanted to rejuvenate. Clubs in La Liga and Saudi Arabia would have tried their luck, but Miami should welcome him. Ramos played 45 games for Paris last season, erasing doubts after a 2021-22 season truncated by injuries.

In Miami, Ramos would find another Barça legend in addition to Messi: Sergio Busquets, with whom he was European and world champion in the Spanish selection. Rewards that he also won with Jordi Alba, former left side of Barça who, too, would be very close to signing at Inter Miami.
