Marine Johannès and Gabby Williams, two of the best French basketball players and bronze medalists at the Tokyo Olympics, are not on the list announced Thursday for the preparation of the French team for Euro-2023 (June 15-25) .
The two stars of the French women’s team cannot participate in all of the preparation, a condition set by the French Federation to compete in the Euro. Marine Johannès must go to her New York Liberty franchise to validate her contract with the WNBA franchise and can only be back on June 7, while Gabby Williams, injured with Asvel, is unavailable for several weeks.
