Ukraine is carrying out its threats. With Russian and Belarusian judokas given the green light by the International Judo Federation to compete in the World Championships in Qatar from May 7-14, the Ukrainian Judo Federation has announced that it will not send any representatives to the Gulf country .
The Russians and Belarusians will participate in the competition under a neutral banner, but the Ukrainians claim that some of the athletes selected are active military personnel, which “contradicts the latest IOC recommendations”.
