Bernhard Schieffer: Between 50 and 100 patients register every day, we see ten to twelve people a day. We have screened more than 2500 and treated over 1000. We have about 1100 patients in follow-up, they are checked two to three times a year.
WORLD: What experiences have you had?
Schieffer: These people no longer recognize their bodies, they are people who have been socially excluded, economically pushed to the edge of subsistence. Most of them have had an odyssey of visits to the doctor, and many have already experienced different therapeutic approaches.
