At least 14 people were injured when a group was shot in the US metropolis of Chicago on Halloween evening. Three children aged 3, 11 and 13 were among the victims, US media reported on Tuesday night (local time), citing the Chicago police.

The injured were taken to various hospitals. Some of them were in mortal danger, it said.

At first little was known about the fact. Around 9 p.m., people – some in Halloween costumes – met on a street corner, police reported to the Chicago Sun Times newspaper. Then shots were fired from a moving car and a person was hit. Everything happened within a few seconds.

After looking at surveillance camera footage, the police assumed that there were at least two shooters.
