The weekend will be warm but not consistently sunny. The German Weather Service (DWD) is expecting a “golden October” with temperatures of up to 20 degrees, but the joy is not completely unclouded, because the foothills of two low-pressure areas are spreading.
They will probably not cause much damage, said meteorologist Adrian Leyser from the weather forecast center on Thursday. Namely, the lows come under the influence of a bridge connecting two highs. “They are running out of strength more and more.” Nevertheless, Leyser expects “a few dense clouds and some rain”.
According to the forecast, Saturday will be the most unstable. Leyser expects rain in the south and showers and isolated thunderstorms in the north. “Otherwise, as well as on the other days into the coming week, the autumn weather presents itself from the more golden side.”
The temperatures remain very mild: “With peak values of around 20 degrees, you can venture outside the door without a jacket or even a T-shirt – at least when the sometimes dense fog patches clear. The temperatures on the coast feel a little colder, where a very gusty westerly wind blows at times.”
