Béziers confirmed its excellent state of form and consolidated its second place in Pro D2, winning 23-19 in Colomiers, its sixth consecutive victory, Thursday in the opening match of the 16th day.

The Hérault club (49 pts) returns to one point behind Vannes, the leader who will play on the field of Valence-Romans (13th) on Friday.

In Colomiers, the Toulouse commuters scored a try by Thomas Larrieu, converted by Thomas Girard who also passed four penalties.

On the Béziers side, Jon Zabala (26) and Charly Malié (72) scored a try each, transformed by Victor Dreuille and Samuel Marques. Dreuille added three penalties.

With this defensive bonus point Colomiers temporarily moves to sixth (36 pts), pending Friday’s matches.
