Oldenburg, a German city with 170,000 residents, was the site of a small miracle last week. Eight-year-old Joe was missing for eight days and was found in a sewer last Saturday. According to the researchers, the most likely explanation is that Joe, an eight-year-old boy, entered a sewer near his home while playing, and lost his orientation as he moved through the pipes.

Joe, a little boy by the name of Joe, was found naked at 300m from his home with signs of hypothermia and dehydration. He was then taken to the hospital. At this point, no details about his medical condition have been made public.

A specialized company examined the area using robots. It found many garments belonging to the minors. Joe was able, despite the pain, to stand in certain areas because of the pipe’s size. Other areas were only 60 centimeters wide. When he heard a loud whimpering coming from underground, a passerby called 911. They found the minor by lifting the sewer cover.

Eight days of agonizing search followed. CNN reports that the little boy vanished on June 17. CNN reports that hundreds of police officers and volunteers joined the rescue effort. The rescue was described by police as “absolute luck” It is not known if third parties were involved, but it is believed that the rescue was successful for now.
