A new offshore wind farm, Denmark’s largest, at the latest in 2027 provide 800 megawatts of power, equivalent to 800,000 households every year.

It has the Parliamentary parties signed an agreement on Thursday afternoon.

the Park, which is given the name of Thor, must be 20 miles out in the North sea, Nissum Fjord, located northwest of Ringkøbing. Already this year the park will be sent in the offer.

– The next havvindpark our clearly largest, and it will provide a great contribution to local growth and the green economy, says the energy, utility and environment minister Lars Chr. Lilleholt (V).

the wind farm is a result of the energy agreement, which was concluded last summer.

Here it was agreed to put the time in the construction of three large wind farms in the coming ten years, and Thor is thus the first of these three.

In the preparatory work for the negotiations has the minister been on a tour of the country to talk with the west jutland municipalities that will be affected by havvindparken. And the minister is experiencing great lokalopbakning.

– I am glad that we both in parliament and out in the municipalities to support ocean wind from.

– We have kept the municipalities request against our obligation to make the green transition as cheap as possible, and I think the location in the North sea hit a good balance, he says.

the Location in the North sea was preferred to a location in the Baltic sea at Kriegers Flak, where the energy company Vattenfall is in the process of building a 600 MW big havvindpark.
